24 July 2019: Update on your public sector agreement

The ANMF has continued meetings with Government over the last two weeks on behalf of nurses and midwives to look to commence the drafting of the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2018.

ANMF has set dates to begin the drafting process with government for this week and expect to have to have this process completed, and the agreement registered within the next 2 to 4 weeks.  This will mean that members can expect to see their 2.1% pay rise and back pay to the First Full Pay Period of December 2018 occur during August.

Furthermore, last week ANMF has met with the State Service Management Office to discuss recommencing negotiations for the next Nurses and Midwives Agreement.  The SSMO has agreed to begin work on bringing together a negotiation team, and to request bargaining parameters form government to commence the bargaining process as soon as possible.

ANMF will continue to update members on the progress of registration of the new agreement and the recommencement of negotiations for nurses and midwives as both processes progress.
